APEC Stuffs up Business exports for Furniture Industry

APEC have stuffed up business exports for the Asian furniture Industry by trashing the APEC Business Travel Card for over 10,000 Australian Importers alone.

The  APEC Business Travel Card used to mean that holders could visit any APEC country with no visa (no planning just get on a plane and go). 

Now APEC has cancelled the system in favour of one where only those doing trade in Multi Millions can qualify. Those few dont need to travel to the capital city and line up like welfare recipients to lodge a visa application with multiple forms and documents and new photos every time. Then travel back a week later and hope it will be processed., They have an employee to do those jobs for them. The other 10,000 dont have that employee. 

So that is the main reason thousands of importers are not travelling in asia this year. They got used to a practical system. APEC are too foolish or too lazy or too busy with politics to continue it.

So if your buyers are not responding to your invitations to come visit your factory or showroom or come to your trade fair its not only the economic downturn, its because APEC had undermined you when you neeeded them most.
